Our 3rd annual breastfeeding awareness -normalize it- FREE nursing session took place this year with another great response in the community. It's always amazing to see moms who have been around for all three years, two years, and new faces each year.
At the end of each session I invite the moms to stick around and do a group photo to show appreciation for each other. Although not all the women can stay, it makes my heart so happy to see how many have the honor and privilege to do so. We know that breastfeeding is one of the most rewarding jobs we will ever have with our children. We know that the commitments, struggles, love, journey, & hope we face is for the best.
As we hold our babies close and they suckle on our breast we are filled with such joy and love .
Some of these moms are friends , family, Grandma's, & milk donors.
The purpose of these free sessions each year is to support each other through the journey of breastfeeding. To bring a normalization to our community for international World Breastfeeding week.
